Terms of Service

Welcome to TAP2TALK! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TAP2TALK mobile application (the "App") provided by SimpleSmart Soft ("we", "us", or "our").
By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Description of Service
TAP2TALK is a live speech translation application that allows you to:
- Translate spoken conversations in real time.
- Display live subtitles for recognized and translated speech.
- Select source and target languages for conversations.
- Use Premium subscription time, free minutes, and purchased minute packages for live translation.
2. Account Access
- The App may create an app account using a device identifier and Firebase authentication.
- The App does not currently require manual registration with an email, password, or Google Sign-In.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your device secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
- Some App features may require an active Premium subscription, free minutes, or purchased minute packages.
- Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Google Play and are subject to Google Play's payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund policies.
- Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through Google Play.
- Purchased minute packages may require an active Premium subscription to be used, if stated in the App.
- We may track subscription status, package balance, session duration, and consumed minutes to provide paid features.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent purpose.
- Attempt to bypass subscription, package, billing, or usage limits.
- Reverse engineer, modify, disrupt, or interfere with the App or its backend services.
- Use automated systems to access the App without permission.
- Use the App to process content that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.
5. Speech Recognition and Translation Disclaimer
Speech recognition and translation results may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. TAP2TALK is provided for convenience and informational use only.
- Do not rely solely on the App for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, emergency, or other high-risk situations.
- Translation quality may depend on speech clarity, background noise, internet connection, selected languages, and third-party service availability.
- We do not guarantee that every phrase will be recognized or translated correctly.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services, including:
- Firebase - authentication, backend functions, security, and service infrastructure.
- Google Play Billing - subscriptions and in-app purchases.
- Speech recognition providers - processing audio into text.
- Translation providers - translating recognized text.
Your use of these services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.
7. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, process, and protect data.
8. Intellectual Property
- The App, its design, software, branding, and content are owned by SimpleSmart Soft or its licensors.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App unless allowed by law or authorized by us in writing.
9. Service Availability
- The App requires internet access for authentication, speech recognition, translation, billing status, and backend communication.
- We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time.
- We are not responsible for interruptions caused by network issues, device limitations, third-party services, or maintenance.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App or service during the period permitted by applicable law.
11. Termination
- You may stop using the App at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or attempt to bypass billing or security restrictions.
- Termination does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by Google Play.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
